The Notes In Modern Music

In this day and age there are a few set systems of music that people will use to write down and read music. The difference in many of these systems is purely cultural and as years pass the older smaller systems of notation grow smaller while people adapt to the widely known Western Notation style. Another way that music can be written down is using tablature, which is what guitarists will often use to figure out music, very talented guitarists though almost always learn to read regular music notation so they can pick up and music a lot easier.

All of the notes we commonly use in music are assigned letter names, some of these letter names will be given a suffix such as a sharp(#) or a flat() to indicate whether the note is a bit higher in pitch or a bit lower in pitch respectively. Pitch is how high or low a note is which can allow it to be identified, someone who is born with perfect pitch can hear any note and tell what it is.

The letters that are used to indicate the notes are A, B, C, D, E, F, G and then repeated again and again. Using these simple notes and their possible sharps or flats is how all music is made, by putting them in specific patterns or playing certain notes at the same time is how music is made.
This is my first guide that I have written and is only a small overview on musical notes, I will later be adding more in depth tutorial/guides on how to read sheet music, where these notes are on the music staff, how chords are formed, and maybe some guides on how to write your own music that sounds good! Notes, free, guide, easy, beginner, sheet music download, printable sheet music, how to read sheet music
